Allah has created both man and woman equally and has not drawn any distinction between them. He has bestowed them with equal faculties. 

Women are nowadays as important as men in society. They constitute nearly half of our total population. So there can be no denying the fact that they too possess equal rights and duties as men do. They have nobel missions to fulfil as men. If they gel opportunity, their genius, powers and capacities will bloom fully. No nation can make real progress keeping a full half of population in the dark. Without the uplift of women, the progress of the nation is not at all possible. 

Though belated, women are participating in the development of our country. They are taking part in different occupations. Garments are the most contributing industries in the development of our country. And 90% of the garment workers are women. inspite of many problems they are working in the garments. Women work in many. poultry farms. A large number of our women work as construction workers. Women are taking education and working in different offices nowadays. They are participating in the administration also. Our ex-prime minister and present prime minister are women, too. They are administrating the country government. We have some women social workers too. They are contributing to the social development of our country. A l:umber of teachers, bankers, lawyers are women. Thos a large number of women are contributing to the development of our country. Still I think the participation of women is not up to the mark. More women should participate as they are the half of our population. Education is necessary for them, otherwise they will remain in the backward. If the country could ensure a better environment for women to work, they would contribute more and more. Their families also should encourage them.

নারীরা আজ সমাজে পুরুষের মতোই গুরুত্বপূর্ণ। তারা আমাদের মোট জনসংখ্যার প্রায় অর্ধেক গঠন করে। সুতরাং এ সত্য অস্বীকার করা যায় না যে তারাও পুরুষদের মতো সমান অধিকার ও কর্তব্যের অধিকারী। পুরুষ হিসেবে তাদের নোবেল মিশন রয়েছে। যদি তারা সুযোগটি ব্যবহার করে তবে তাদের প্রতিভা, ক্ষমতা এবং ক্ষমতা সম্পূর্ণরূপে প্রস্ফুটিত হবে। অর্ধেক জনসংখ্যাকে অন্ধকারে রেখে কোনো জাতি প্রকৃত উন্নতি করতে পারে না। নারীর উন্নতি ছাড়া জাতির অগ্রগতি আদৌ সম্ভব নয়।

বিলম্বিত হলেও আমাদের দেশের উন্নয়নে নারীরা অংশগ্রহণ করছে। তারা বিভিন্ন পেশায় অংশ নিচ্ছে। গার্মেন্টস আমাদের দেশের উন্নয়নে সবচেয়ে বেশি অবদানকারী শিল্প। আর পোশাক শ্রমিকদের ৯০% নারী। নানা সমস্যার মধ্যেও তারা গার্মেন্টসে কাজ করছেন। অনেক ক্ষেত্রে মহিলারা কাজ করেন। মুরগির খামার। আমাদের বিপুল সংখ্যক নারী নির্মাণ শ্রমিক হিসেবে কাজ করেন। নারীরা আজকাল শিক্ষা গ্রহণ করছেন এবং বিভিন্ন অফিসে কাজ করছেন। প্রশাসনেও তারা অংশ নিচ্ছেন। আমাদের সাবেক প্রধানমন্ত্রী এবং বর্তমান প্রধানমন্ত্রীও নারী। তারা দেশের সরকার পরিচালনা করছে। আমাদের কিছু নারী সমাজকর্মীও আছে। তারা আমাদের দেশের সামাজিক উন্নয়নে অবদান রাখছে। উ: শিক্ষক, ব্যাংকার, আইনজীবীদের সংখ্যা নারী। আমাদের দেশের উন্নয়নে বিপুল সংখ্যক নারীর অবদান রয়েছে। তারপরও আমি মনে করি নারীদের অংশগ্রহণ চিহ্ন পর্যন্ত নেই। আমাদের জনসংখ্যার অর্ধেক হওয়ায় আরও নারীদের অংশগ্রহণ করা উচিত। তাদের জন্য শিক্ষা আবশ্যক, নইলে তারা পিছিয়ে থাকবে। যদি দেশটি নারীদের কাজের জন্য একটি ভাল পরিবেশ নিশ্চিত করতে পারে তবে তারা আরও বেশি অবদান রাখবে। তাদের পরিবারেরও তাদের উৎসাহিত করা উচিত।
