Similarities Between Islam and Christianity Essay

Islam and Christianity are two of the major religions of the world. Though the two religions are different from one another, they share several basic beliefs and practices. 

The people of the two religions pray to the same deity whom the Muslims call Allah and the Christian call God. The Muslims have a holy book-the Quran. In the same way the Christians have also a holy book the Bible. The Muslims read the holy Quran to gain religious knowledge. 

They try not only to mould their characters but also to lead their lives according to the guidelines of the holy Quran. Likewise the Christians also read the Bible to gain religious knowledge and try to lead their lives on the basis of the knowledge of the Bible. 

The holy Quran is the complete code of life for the Muslims of the whole world. In the same way the Bible is the complete code of life for the Christians. Hazrat Muhammad (Sm.) is the Prophet of the Muslims. In the same manner Jesus Christ is the Prophet of the Christians. 

All the Muslims believe in the holy Quran, in the sayings of the holy Prophet and in the five pillars of Islam. The Muslims also believe that Islam is their religion. Similarly the Christians believe the sayings of Jesus Christ and the ten commandments. 

The Muslims believe in the final judgment day. The Christians also have the same faith. Besides, there arc many other similarities between the people of two religions. 

অনুবাদঃ ইসলাম এবং খ্রিস্টান বিশ্বের প্রধান দুটি ধর্ম। যদিও দুটি ধর্ম একে অপরের থেকে আলাদা, তারা বেশ কয়েকটি মৌলিক বিশ্বাস এবং অনুশীলনগুলি ভাগ করে নেয়। 

দুই ধর্মের লোকেরা একই দেবতার কাছে প্রার্থনা করে যাকে মুসলমানরা আল্লাহ বলে এবং খ্রিস্টানরা ঈশ্বর বলে। মুসলমানদের একটি পবিত্র গ্রন্থ রয়েছে- কুরআন। একইভাবে খ্রিস্টানদেরও একটি পবিত্র গ্রন্থ বাইবেল রয়েছে। 

মুসলমানরা ধর্মীয় জ্ঞান অর্জনের জন্য পবিত্র কোরআন পাঠ করে। তারা কেবল তাদের চরিত্রগুলিকে ঢালাই করার চেষ্টা করে না বরং পবিত্র কুরআনের নির্দেশনা অনুসারে তাদের জীবন পরিচালনা করার চেষ্টা করে। একইভাবে খ্রিস্টানরাও ধর্মীয় জ্ঞান অর্জনের জন্য বাইবেল পড়ে এবং বাইবেলের জ্ঞানের ভিত্তিতে তাদের জীবন পরিচালনা করার চেষ্টা করে। 

পবিত্র কুরআন সমগ্র বিশ্বের মুসলমানদের জন্য পূর্ণাঙ্গ জীবন বিধান। একইভাবে বাইবেল হল খ্রিস্টানদের জন্য সম্পূর্ণ জীবন বিধান। হজরত মুহাম্মদ (সা.) মুসলমানদের নবী। একইভাবে যীশু খ্রিস্ট খ্রিস্টানদের নবী। সমস্ত মুসলমান পবিত্র কোরআনে, নবীর বাণীতে এবং ইসলামের পাঁচটি স্তম্ভে বিশ্বাস করে। 

মুসলমানরাও বিশ্বাস করে যে ইসলাম তাদের ধর্ম। একইভাবে খ্রিস্টানরা যীশু খ্রিস্টের বাণী এবং দশটি আদেশকে বিশ্বাস করে। মুসলমানরা শেষ বিচার দিবসে বিশ্বাসী। খ্রিস্টানদেরও একই বিশ্বাস রয়েছে। এছাড়া দুই ধর্মের মানুষের মধ্যে আরও অনেক মিল রয়েছে।
