My Favourite Poet Paragraph

Kazi Nazrul Islam is my favourite poet. Nazrul's writings were full of hope, energy, aspiration and result. His writings awakened the sleeping people of this subcontinent. It was Nazrul through whom the people began to hope for a better future. 

He made them conscious of their rights. He helped them to fight for independence and break the bondage of slavery and fetters of subjugation. His famous creations are Agni Bina, Bandhan Hara, Rikter Bedan, Bisher Bansi, Agamani, Mukti, Bidrohi, Praloyshikha, Dolanchapa, Fanimansha, Sharbahara, Chakrabak etc. 

He also wrote several thousand songs. For all these reasons I like him most. He was born on eleven Jaistha 1306 B.S Churulia, a village of Burdwan in West Bengal. His father's name was Kazi Fakir Ahmad and his mother's name was Zaheda Khatun. His parents lost four children before his birth. So, they gave him the nick name Dhuku Mia. In his early life Nazrul lost his mother. For this he had to struggle hard against poverty.

অর্থঃ কাজী নজরুল ইসলাম আমার প্রিয় কবি। নজরুলের লেখায় ভরপুর ছিল আশা, শক্তি, আকাঙ্খা ও ফলাফল। তার লেখা এ উপমহাদেশের ঘুমন্ত মানুষকে জাগিয়েছে। নজরুলের মাধ্যমেই মানুষ উন্নত ভবিষ্যতের আশা করতে থাকে।

তিনি তাদের অধিকার সম্পর্কে সচেতন করেছেন। তিনি তাদের স্বাধীনতার জন্য লড়াই করতে এবং দাসত্বের বন্ধন ও পরাধীনতার শৃঙ্খল ছিন্ন করতে সহায়তা করেছিলেন। অগ্নি বিনা, বাঁধন হারা, রিক্তার বেদন, বিষের বাঁশি, আগমণি, মুক্তি, বিদ্রোহী, প্রলয়শিখা, দোলনচাপা, ফণীমনশা, শরবাহরা, চক্রবাক ইত্যাদি তাঁর বিখ্যাত সৃষ্টি।

তিনি কয়েক হাজার গানও লিখেছেন। এই সব কারণে আমি তাকে সবচেয়ে পছন্দ করি। তিনি পশ্চিমবঙ্গের বর্ধমানের একটি গ্রামে 1306 বি এস চুরুলিয়া এগারো জৈষ্ঠে জন্মগ্রহণ করেন। তাঁর পিতার নাম কাজী ফকির আহমদ এবং মাতার নাম জাহেদা খাতুন। জন্মের আগেই তার বাবা-মা চার সন্তানকে হারিয়েছেন। তাই তারা তাকে ডাক নাম দেন ধুকু মিয়া। প্রথম জীবনে নজরুল তার মাকে হারান। এ জন্য তাকে দারিদ্র্যের বিরুদ্ধে কঠোর সংগ্রাম করতে হয়েছে।
