Amidst the ongoing pandemic of COVID-19, the 'COVID-19 Vaccine' has become a buzzword all over the world. Keeping pace with the entire world, Bangladesh has also been conducting the nationwide vaccination programme since 27 January 2021. For vaccination, people need to register following some easy steps. At first, the web portal named 'Surokkha' needs to be accessed at https://surokkha.gov.bd/enroll. The government has also launched an app called “Surokkha' for the vaccination campaign. Secondly, the person has to register filling in the COVID-19 Vaccine Registration Form available there with the help of NID card. As soon as a person puts his NID number and date of birth, other information is automatically filled in. Then, a candidate needs to provide some other information like home address, area, phone number, etc. and select the vaccine centre from the given list. After submitting the forma confirmation SMS is sent to the given phone number. Then, one can download and print the vaccine card from the same website. Later, the date and the place of vaccination are sent via another SMS after a specific period of time. Finally, on that date the candidate must be present at his specific centre with the vaccine card and NID card to receive the first dose of the vaccine. In the same way, a second SMS mentioning the date for the second dose is sent. After completing two doses of COVID-19 vaccine, the vaccination certificate can be downloaded from the website for future reference.
