Attracted by such reports. she came to test the king. She brought with her two garlands of flowers-one natural and the other artificial. She placed them before the king to take the natural one. Solomon was puzzled for a time. 

While pondering he noticed some bees humming for honey in a withered rose. He asked the windows to be opened. The bees came in and settled on the natural flowers and thus solved the riddle of the Queen. The Queen of Sheba was surprised and went admiring the king as of great wisdom.

King Solomon was the wisest man of all times. He was called 'Solomon, the wise'. One of his contemporaries was the Queen of Sheba. She heard Solomon's name many times for his outstanding knowledge and wisdom. She was very inquisitive to test his wit. One day, the queen invited the king to her palace. Solomon accepted her invitation. The king came to her palace in due time. The queen welcomed him majestically. To test his wit, the Queen made all arrangements in advance. She kept two bouquets on a table in the room where the king sat. But the door and the windows of the room were closed. One of the garlands was artificial though they looked quite alike. The king realised that the queen might test his wit. He heard some bees humming outside the room. He then opened the windows of the room. The bees came to the room through the windows and sat on the garland of real flowers. The Queen of Sheba was charmed by his wisdom.

অনুবাদঃ রাজা সলোমন ছিলেন সর্বকালের সবচেয়ে জ্ঞানী ব্যক্তি। তাকে বলা হত 'সুলেমান, জ্ঞানী'। তার সমসাময়িকদের মধ্যে একজন ছিলেন শেবার রানী। তিনি শলোমনের অসামান্য জ্ঞান এবং প্রজ্ঞার জন্য তার নাম বহুবার শুনেছিলেন। তিনি তার বুদ্ধি পরীক্ষা করার জন্য খুব অনুসন্ধিৎসু ছিলেন। একদিন রানি রাজাকে তার প্রাসাদে আমন্ত্রণ জানালেন। সোলায়মান তার আমন্ত্রণ গ্রহণ করলেন। রাজা যথাসময়ে তার প্রাসাদে উপস্থিত হলেন। রানী তাকে অভ্যর্থনা জানালেন। তার বুদ্ধি পরীক্ষা করার জন্য, রানী আগাম সমস্ত ব্যবস্থা করেছিলেন। রাজা যে ঘরে বসেছিলেন সেখানে একটি টেবিলে দুটি তোড়া রেখেছিলেন। কিন্তু ঘরের দরজা-জানালা বন্ধ ছিল। একটি মালা ছিল কৃত্রিম যদিও দেখতে অনেকটা একই রকম। রাজা বুঝলেন রাণী হয়তো তার বুদ্ধি পরীক্ষা করবেন। সে ঘরের বাইরে কিছু মৌমাছির গুঞ্জন শুনতে পেল। এরপর তিনি ঘরের জানালা খুলে দেন। মৌমাছিরা জানালা দিয়ে ঘরে এসে আসল ফুলের মালায় বসে। শিবার রানী তার জ্ঞান দ্বারা মুগ্ধ হয়েছিল।
