Sound Pollution Sound or noise pollution has become a burning question of the world nowadays. The world is producing millions of decibels of sound each year, and it is becoming increasingly difficult to find suitable locations to get rid of all the sounds. The production of various kinds of sounds is seriously polluting the environment. According to the UN, the normal tolerance limit of sound is 45 decibles. When the vibration of sound in at tolerable, pleasant level, it is simply called sound.Town people make sound by driving vehicles, making phone calls, ringing bells, using loud-speakers and alarm clocks, watching TV and beating drums and playing different kinds of musical instruments while enjoying music. On an average, people in the cities are exposed to sounds ranging from 30 to 90 decibels or even more. Thus our environment is disturbed by sound pollution.
